We are now listing one of the last 290s built by Rampart Yachts of Southampton and finished by Lauren Marine and Ocean Quay Interiors, being the Stephen Jones designed modern Sadler with bilge keels.
The new Sadler 290 became a revelation in small fast cruising yachts, as enthusiastically reported by the yachting press in 2003.
Nearly 50 were built (Deep Thought being 290-48), with generous accommodation, very comfortable and attractive layout and excellent headroom throughout.
Sailing performance and remarkable stiffness has been achieved with the convenience of twin keels as standard.
Splendidly equipped with Z-Spars mast and boom, Doyle and Banks sails including spinnaker and asymmetric chute, Furlex 200S and all sail controls leading aft to Harken winches.
